- 1 Lb (5-8) large sea scallops
- 2 Tbsp of Joy’s Gourmet Garlic
- Italian breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup teriyaki Sauce
- 4 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- 3 Tbsp of Olive oil
Cover the scallops with Joy’s Gourmet™ Garlic on all sides. Dip each scallop in the breadcrumbs on the flat edge. In a skillet heat up the olive oil, place scallops in skillet for one minute. Flip over and add the teriyaki sauce. Wait one minute and flip one more time for 30 seconds.
Remove the scallops from skillet and continue to reduce the sauce until thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Add the cilantro and mix with the sauce.
Steam the asparagus and keep warm until serving.
Place scallops on top of the steamed asparagus in plates, drizzle the sauce over them before serving. It is always good to have extra sauce to serve on the side.
