Joy’s History

Named after our daughter Joy and based on family recipes from my Grandparents, we created Joy's International Foods to bring the taste of the Mediterranean to America’s table. Our friends and family loved our secret mix of garlic and spices so much that we finally took the plunge and began producing our dairy free Garlic Joy spreads and selling them at local gourmet markets in early 2003.

Our kitchen table has always been the center of life in our family. The aromas, great flavors, and beauty of fresh ingredients come together for a perfect meal and experience. The daily stories we shared with family members and friends is priceless. We toast one another and eat life with every bite. And we want to share that experience with you through Joy's Gourmet Spreads and Sauces.

For our family, food must look and smell as good as it tastes. If your eyes and nose enjoy the experience, so will your tastebuds. That is, if it is made from healthy, high-quality ingredients. (That is the family secret my friends!)

We continue to share our passion through a family of representatives at local farmer's markets (see our locations map for a farmer’s market near you!). Each representative provides product demonstrations and informative training on our products with endless health benefits and uses.

The all-natural versatility and unique flavor of Joy's Gourmet products have created a loyal following across the Southeast. Made with raw blended ingredients, Garlic Joy is vegetarian, vegan, and free of preservatives, dairy, cholesterol, trans-fats, and sugar!

While there are numerous known health benefits, they are outmatched by Joy's International Food's remarkable taste. Our Pasta Sauces and Salsas have less than 70mg of sodium, and NO sugar added. Our Mediterranean specialties are like no others in flavor and purity. If you like olives, you will love our Olive Salad and Olive Tapenade.

Our Garlic Spreads can be used to spice up any recipe, from seasoning meats, stews, and vegetables to spreading on sandwiches, wraps, and breads. Our products pack the delicious and nutritious benefits of pure fresh garlic – more than 20 bulbs per jar in a creamy spread that dissolves easily and tastes great! Joy's Gourmet is always developing new products and will continue to introduce new healthy creations from the same Mediterranean region.
